Richard D. Smith, age 60 of New Haven passed away, surrounded by his family, on October 11, 2020. Richard served in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from the U.S. Navy and Chrysler Corporation.

 

On September 8, 2001, Richard married Lisa (nee Duma). He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and most of all spending time with his family. He adored his newborn grandson Luke. Beloved husband of Lisa. Loving father of Chrystal Smith, Kyle Smith, Jefferey (Kristyna) Holman and Gennifer Holman. Dear son of Kathleen Blake and the late Clarence Smith. Cherished grandfather of Luke Holman. Dear brother of Sharon (Dennis) Williams, Don Smith, the late Wayne (Cindy) Smith and the late Leonard Smith. Beloved uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

 

Visitation 3:00 -7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Gendernalik Funeral Home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, funeral services will be private but everyone is invited to join the family at the V.F.W. Hall in New Baltimore for a Memorial Luncheon at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020.
